Otterburn Bed and Breakfast

Open all year, David and Elaine Crane will greet you with a warm and friendly welcome at Otterburn Bed and Breakfast.  This modern bed and breakfast is located in the picturesque village of Dervaig, overlooking Loch Cuin, where you can be sure to see an array of exciting bird life and even spot the local otters and deer. Sea eagles are seen regularly over the garden and in the locality, as are other birds of prey such as buzzard, golden eagle, hen harrier and sparrowhawk.

Otterburn is a dog friendly home and you will get to meet Mac (our blind but very capable Collie) and Molly (our young Collie X pup). Both are very friendly and if you encourage them they can give you a great game of football or tug of war!

Dervaig

Dervaig is located at the head of Loch Cuin between Tobermory and Calgary Bay and renowned to be one of the prettiest villages on the island. Founded in the late 18th century, Dervaig was built by the laird, MacLean of Coll, to provide accommodation for the nearby Quinnish Estate.

Kilmore Church in the village, is the only Irish towered chapel in Scotland (the spire of which looks like a sharpened pencil) and is also famous for its unusual stained glass windows. Dervaig has a hotel in the village serving excellent meals (renowned for its local seafood platters) and another restaurant within two miles. On the whole, Dervaig is an ideal retreat and convenient base for touring and exploring around the north of Mull and beyond.

Accommodation

Otterburn has two extremely spacious rooms on the first floor - one double and one twin - both with superb views over the Cuin. The rooms have large en-suite bathrooms, comfortable sitting areas, and are well-equipped with TV, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Breakfast is served in the bay window area on the ground floor enabling guests to take in the view and watch the abundant birdlife in the garden.

Otterburn is a non-smoking establishment, including the grounds.

See the accommodation page for more details.
